Photo-Luminescent Address Numbers

Our photo-luminescent address numbers are code compliant and stand out during the night. Unlike other "glow-in-the-dark" materials these are not made from hazardous or radioactive materials. The photo-luminescent material is embedded throughout the numberso it will glow even longer than those merely coated with the luminescent compounds. Here are the advantages of using these numbers:

  • Durable: these numbers are made from 1/4" stock.
  • Weather resistant.
  • UV stable so they will not break down over time in sunlight.
  • Environmentally friendly. They contain no hazardous or radioactive luminescent compounds.
  • Non-electric. They charge themselves.

These numbers are useful for more than street-side addressing. In remote areas they can be used to illuminate a building at night so they are visible from the air or on waterfronts. This can be vital in areas that rely on air-ambulance or water-ambulance service. They also need very little daylight to charge and can be used in northern latitudes with short winter days.

Note: These numbers are a light yellow color [other colors are available- check for pricing ] during the day and should be mounted on a dark background or backerboard to be code-compliant.

Note: Most Jurisdictions require a 6:1 height to brush stroke ratio for address numbers. These regulations are currently being revisited and you should check with your local jurisdiction for the current code. We recommend  numbers with Arial Bold Font style which should cover the code requirements in your area. All fonts are available however.

Note: The number zero (0) is slightly larger than other numbers because of an optical illustion that makes it appear smaller than other numbers.
